Lord, you are all that I desire.

BE NOT AFRAID
by Bob Dufford, SJ

v1   You shall cross the barren desert but you shall not die of thirst.
You shall wander far in safety though you do not know the way.
You shall speak your words to foreign lands and all will understand.
You shall see the face of God and live.

{Refrain}
Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come follow Me and I will give you rest.

v2   If you pass through raging waters in the sea, you shall not drown.
If you walk amidst the burning flames you shall not be harmed.
If you stand before the pow'r of hell and death is at your side,
know that I am with you, through it all. {refrain}

v.3   Blessed are your poor for the Kingdom shall be theirs.
Blest are you that weep and mourn for one day you shall laugh.
And if wicked men insult and hate you all because of Me,
blessed, blessed are you! {refrain}

v.4   And when the earth has turned beneath you and your voice is seldom heard.
When the flood of gifts that blessed your life has long since ebbed away.
When your mind is thick and hope is thin and dark is all around,
I will stand beside you till the dawn. {refrain}

Lord, how I long to see your Holy Face.

You have been blessed by my Father; come and receive the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world

~ Antiphon of the morning canticle at Lauds on Mondal of AL01, 200302.

Lord, may I never see myself as better than another.

About "minority" (RTX2)

PHILIPPIANS 2:3 (KJ21)
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the other better than himself.

ROMANS 12:16 (KJ21)
Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
