May I cherish the righteousness that comes through Christ.

Let those of us then who are mature be of the same mind;
and if you think differently about anything,
this too God will reveal to you.

Only let us hold fast to what we have attained,
so that you may be blameless and innocent,
children of God without blemish
in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation,
in which you shine like stars in the world,
and in the same way you also must be glad and rejoice with me.
Philippians 3:15-16; 2:15,18

Help me, Lord, to mature in simplicity of heart.

Life is "simple" when all its aspects are consistent with its single purpose. Human life is designed and created by God with a singleness of purpose:

"I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them. (Jeremiah 32.39 NIV)"

"The Lord protects the simple."   From creation, the Lord protects his children... so that "all with go well for [us]" ... for our own good and of our children after us.

"O Lord, you have been our refuge,
from generation to generation.
Before the mountains were born,
or the earth or the world were brought forth,
you are God, from age to age. (Psalm 90.1-2 Grail)"
